In October 2026, we will implement a comprehensive program in close cooperation with local cultural institutions. Our aim is to bring together various folk art disciplines – folk crafts, folk music, folk dance, and folk tales.
On October 9th, on the occasion of the exhibition opening, we invite children and adults alike to a full-day program at the Pásztói Teleki László Városi Könyvtár building:
The exhibition space of the building will feature objects from the Barkó Kézműves Egyesület on display for 3 weeks. We will enliven the exhibition opening with folk songs, recitations of folk texts, storytelling, and folk music.
Throughout the morning, children from Pásztó kindergartens and schools will participate in age-appropriate craft workshops to discover the secrets of various folk crafts.
In the afternoon, the exhibition opening will take place, where we welcome visitors with a traditional costume fashion show. Local folk dancers and folk musicians will perform at the opening.
In the evening, we invite the adult audience to a Story Tavern and a dance house.
Anyone can add events to the Folk Calendar. We try to check the data daily, but we cannot take responsibility for its accuracy.
