The Hungarian Cultural Institute of Slovakia and its Folk Music Archive is organizing a folk music camp for folk song choirs, folk song soloists, and cimbalom orchestras.
The camp offers the following opportunities:
- practical classes led by Hungarian folk song singers and cimbalom teachers, learning folk songs from the folk music traditions of Upper Hungary regions
- individual consultation with instructors (discussing problems and questions of interest to participants, compiling folk song repertoires, performance styles of folk songs)
- participants from various regions getting to know each other and exchanging professional experience during free program time.
Instructors: Borsi Ferenc, Péterné Berde Sarolta – cimbalom teachers
Köles Éva – folk song instructor
We can accept 2-5 participants from each group. Children may attend the camp with adult supervision (parent, educator).
After registration (once the application deadline has passed), we will send invitations with detailed information to applicants.
Application deadline: until 2026. június 28.
Anyone can add events to the Folk Calendar. We try to check the data daily, but we cannot take responsibility for its accuracy.
