Together: Sounds from Belső-Mezőség Album Launch Concert - Guest: Magyarpalatkai Banda
This June, Sára Zolnai released her debut album, Together – Sounds from Belső-Mezőség, as a digital publication, and Fonó is hosting the album launch concert for this occasion.
Within the framework of the project, the voice of the young folk singer enters into dialogue with the mature voice of Erzsébet Dezső Balázsné Kádár, a Transylvanian Mezőség tradition-keeper performer. In their singing, it is not performative virtuosity that takes center stage, but rather attentiveness to one another, the power of singing together, and the natural performance of the songs.
The album features excellent musicians such as Florin ifj. Codoba Martin, Kristóf Szakács and Szilárd Szabó, who are authentic representatives of Transylvanian folk music tradition. Their authenticity stems in part from the fact that they all live and work in Transylvania, in an environment where folk tradition is still an organic part of everyday life. They acquired their knowledge partly as a family inheritance and partly by learning from elderly masters.
Following the concert, we invite everyone to a dance house that goes on until dawn, featuring the Magyarpalatkai Banda!
Ticket price: 2500 Ft in advance, 3000 Ft on the day of the event
