The aim of the workshop is for participants to become acquainted with various techniques and motif repertoires of traditional wool weaving through hands-on experience.

On smaller weaving tools and also on larger looms, they can try out the basic and more advanced techniques of weaving, while learning the characteristic decorative methods of traditional woven woolens.

During the workshops, participants can master, among others, the elements of striping, rosemary, checkering, inlay, interlinking, toothing, wavy and geometric patterning.

Through practical work, they can gain insight into the process of wool preparation, yarn selection, harmonious colour application, and the creation of traditional woven patterns.

The program contributes to participants preserving and passing on the knowledge of traditional wool weaving, while enriching themselves with unique and valuable woven textiles created by their own hands.
