In the footsteps of medicinal herbs: discovering nature's treasures.

We begin Saturday in nature: we set off on a medicinal herb identification and foraging tour around the fish ponds. During the walk, guided by experts, we discover the wild-growing, aromatic and other useful plant treasures of the area. We learn how to safely identify and collect the most important species, which plant parts to gather and when, what they can be used for, and how to preserve their valuable active ingredients.

We pay special attention to how plants hiding inconspicuously in our surroundings can become the basic ingredients of an everyday natural home pharmacy. During the morning medicinal herb identification tour, we collectively process the plants we collect, and learn how they can be preserved and used to make the most of their valuable active ingredients.

During the practical workshop, we prepare various medicinal herb extracts and natural cosmetic preparations. We close the weekend with the world of aromatherapy and natural cosmetics. Participants discover the possibilities of conscious use of essential oils and plant-based ingredients, then create customized aromatherapy cosmetics tailored to their own needs.

Throughout the weekend, medicinal herbs collected in nature are transformed step by step into personal, homemade treasures that are unique in scent, texture and experience.

Theoretical and practical leader of the workshop: Berczik Ágnes, medicinal herb specialist

Workshop duration: 15 hours

Registration deadline: 30 September 2026 at www.bmne.hu

We warmly welcome all interested participants!
