About the film:

Hungarian Wedding
Hungarian Wedding is set in the late 1970s: two young men from Budapest, András and Péter, travel to Kalotaszeg to attend the wedding of András's cousin. However, the village celebration becomes a lifelong adventure. The two young men must make decisions whose consequences are unpredictable...

The film combines the power of folk music, dance and love in the magical language of cinema – at once a love story, a cultural journey and a tribute to the life's work of Ferenc Novák "Tata".
In this musical-dance production, alongside Franciska Törőcsik, Tamás Kovács, Zsombor Kövesi and Anna Györgyi, such legends appear as Márta Sebestyén, Ferenc Sebő, the Muzsikás Ensemble, István "Szalonna" Pál, Zoltán "Batyu" Farkas and artists of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble. The choreography is by Zoltán Zsuráfszky, Zsuzsa Zs. Vincze and Gábor Mihályi.

The film, which Magyar Nemzet called "the love child of the Hunyadi series and How Could I Live Without You?", was produced with the support of the MOL – New Europe Foundation, in a coproduction of MTVA and Szupermodern Studio, without the financial contribution of the National Film Institute.
