We cordially invite all interested guests to the first event of the South Great Plain Folk Club, which aims to revive the tradition of club life in Szeged.
The program will be held regularly in the future, with a different theme explored each time. During the evening there will be informative discussions with experts from various fields, followed by concerts, dance instruction, and dance houses.
For our inaugural event, we are preparing a presentation titled: Banat Wedding, Professional Dialogue on North Banat Weddings.
Participants: Dr. Viktor Fehér, university lecturer (University of Novi Sad, Teacher Training Faculty of Hungarian Language) and Máté Számfira, MMA scholarship doctoral candidate (University of Theatre and Film Arts). Moderator: Laura Olajos, educator and cultural collector.
Following the discussion, the Duhaj Band will perform their album release concert and lead a dance house.
Program:
18:00 - doors open
19:00 - presentation
20:00 - concert
21:00 - dance house
Dance instruction: Zita Számfira-Nagy and Máté Számfira
The event is free; supporter tickets are available on site for 500,- Ft.
Anyone can add events to the Folk Calendar. We try to check the data daily, but we cannot take responsibility for its accuracy.
