Zoltán Kovács, a folk dancer and folk musician who passed away young in 2006, was the founder of Cuháré Táncműhely and teacher at Korinda Zenekar. In his memory, we first held the "...mutassatok utat..." Memorial Evening in 2007, and we have continued to organize it every year since. On these occasions, outstanding folk dance ensembles and folk musicians from Szeged and Csongrád-Csanád county perform on the same stage.
Our aim is to remember together our friend Zoli, who did outstanding work in the folk music and folk dance life of Szeged. The funds collected from donations will be offered as financial support — joining the call of the Hungarian Heritage House — to the Social Organization for the Preservation of Carpathian Cultural Heritage and Folk Traditions in response to the war that has broken out in our neighboring region.
Following the folk dance and folk music gala performance, we will hold a dance house until dawn!
