Élő Forrás Hagyományőrző Egyesület – Hunyor Népfőiskola will hold the Training Folk Dancers and Dance Teachers Camp in the summer of 2026, in the usual season. We are looking for adult dancers who are already beyond beginner level in their professional knowledge and skills, and who are capable of delving deeper into individual dance materials. In recent years, we have experienced an increase in the number of visitors and our camp audience has become younger. We are glad about this, because through the spirit of the camp, our choice of masters, the way we present materials, and our supplementary programs, we want to influence the participants' value judgments and worldview. We therefore welcome participants who, in addition to learning the dance materials, want to be part of the Kiscsőszi community, which has been built and developed for more than two decades.
Camp materials:
We selected the dance materials so that the dance traditions of the regions/settlements favored by our usual, well-known masters appear.
Teaching schedule:
July 5-6. Vajdaszentiványi dances – Kádár Ignác and Hajdú Boglárka
July 7-8. Magyarbődi dances – Busai Norbert and Busai Zsuzsanna
July 9-10. Mezőkölpényi dances – Szabó Szilárd and Németh Ildikó
The first class starts on Sunday, July 5, at 16:00. Plan to arrive at camp on July 5 between 10:00-14:00 (we recommend that those bringing tents arrive in the morning due to setup time)! The first meal is supper.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is available in your own tent/caravan, yurt/communal tent, private homes, or communal accommodation. Given that the Dűvő Folk Music Camp will also be held during this period, accommodation places will be allocated in the order registrations are received. We provide three meals a day during the camp.
Accommodation and meals at the camp require individual arrangement with the groups (please coordinate these by phone with Kelényi Andrea at +36-30-785-9103).
As in previous years, everyone at the camp must use their own cutlery and plate – there will be no shared tableware or plastic dishes. We introduced this change in the spirit of environmental protection. We ask everyone to plan ahead and bring all necessary eating utensils. We provide warm water for washing dishes. Anyone who forgets to bring cutlery can purchase it on site.
Camp fees:
Daily rate for stone house accommodation: 14,500 Ft; daily rate for those requiring tent accommodation: 13,000 Ft, which includes both instruction and meals. The Sunday rate (uniform) is 10,000 Ft.
Registration deadline: June 20.
Individual registration is done by filling out the electronic registration form. The electronic registration form can be found under the Related pages menu, on the right side. If you have further questions about registration or are registering as an ensemble (group), please write to zenetancfesztival@gmail.com. We can only consider registrations from those under 18 years old together with a parental statement!
Attention!
In previous years, we have encountered many overly individual participation requests. We want to point out that we do not see the possibility of "breaking down" the camp into its components for various individual discounts. Registrants must therefore pay at least a daily flat rate, regardless of meals used or instruction time attended.
Available discounts:
- Parents present as accompanying persons, if they do not participate in instruction: 20%
- Children under 8 years of age: 50%
- Day participants (those not requiring accommodation): 20%
(Discounts are calculated in all cases depending on the type of accommodation requested, and in the case of day participants, based on the "stone house" participation fee.)
We look forward to welcoming you!
Greetings on behalf of the organizers:
Kovács Norbert Cimbi
